MISSION:
To become mover for change towards enlarging people’s choices as agent of development and the recipient of the results of the development processes focused on three thrust areas, namely; access to education, long and healthy life and acquisition of resources for a decent standard of living which are key contributory factors in achieving high level of human development as endorsed by the United Nations.
The Human Development International cognizance of "character" as important key factor in achieving these three areas which are key indicators in measuring human development index of a particular place or country has endorse the "formation of character" that's conducive in achieving high human development index. HDI believes that character whether it’s for an individual or group of individuals is key in achieving goal or national goal. It is for this reason that the Human Development International also fosters the need to mold a character conducive to achieving a better quality of life.
OBJECTIVES:
General Objectives:
1. To undertake human development programs particularly (human development index), access to education, long and healthy life and acquisition of resources for a decent standard of living, and related area, e.g. maintaining balance between population and resources, preserving mother earth, etc., through
a. Education
b. Research and Development
c. Information Networking and Data Building
d. Technical Assistance
e. Capability Building
f. Conduct and Promote Human Development Activities
2. To link individuals to avenues of learning to enable them to pursue or upgrade their education through leaning scheme tailored to their needs and situation,
3. To initiate projects toward improving human well-being for people to enjoy long, healthy, happy and rewarding lives,
4. To organize movers for human development who will propagate in putting people as the central focus and ultimate end in development, or in enlarging people’s choices as agent and receipt of development processes, and preserving mother earth,
5. To initiate fund raising projects and income generating activities as well as secure and receive grants and/or aids in the form of physical goods and currencies and utilize them carry out the organization’s objectives and purposes.
Specific Objectives:
1. To develop members into productive and responsible citizens who’ll volunteer a fraction of time, expertise and resources in human development work.
2. To organize members to work on common goal towards enhancing people’s lives,
3. To train movers who will propagate in enlarging people’s choices as agent and recipient of the results of development processes and preserving mother earth,
4. To train leaders who are tuned to human development and global issues and can think globally and act locally,
5. To train in-keepers of the HDI’s vision and philosophy, and keep the human development movement alive.
